Retail Shop
Our retail store is our central space for building a paddling community. We see all parts of our business converging on our retail shop and we hope folks have a great time doing business with us or simply chatting a bit and enjoying the vibe.
We have a unique situation — In this one location we make boats and we demo that boat in our pond. We are a pick up and drop off location for expeditions off the coast. The closest put-in to the Atlantic is minutes away. It's also where we will happily help you purchase a boat, paddling accessory, or "water-lifestyle" clothing. We are a full-service paddling shop for kayakers and canoeists — day-trips and expeditions. We offer rentals, guided tours and instruction. But we're not here only to sell you something — please feel free to stop in for a free cup of coffee or even the occasional hand made crepe on the back deck.
We are a comprehensive paddling shop for people who really want to explore the water. We are an expert's paddling shop and a beginner's paddling shop — maintaining the specialty end of the sport. We hope beginners progress through the sport with our help and we hope the experts challenge us to create new opportunities and push the sport forward. Most everyone we've hired to work in the shop or on tours has a teaching or coaching background — we feel it builds a certain compassion for people that translates into positive relationships with our customers.
Of course, we carry the full line of our own Lincoln Canoes and Kayaks and are also proud to carry the full offering from Boréal Design, MaelströmKayak, and Beluga Accessories. For clothing and accessories, we are happy to offer the best from Kokatat, Stohlquist, Werner Paddles, Yakima Racks, Immersion Research, Cloudveil, CraftUSA, Isis, and plenty of other gear.
Our store is about paddling but our staff has other passions and we hope to share a little bit of the lifestyle — the lifestyle of people who really enjoy what they have gotten themselves into in life — paddling, business, cooking, building, music, skiing, art, photography, fitness, healthy living, etc. Throughout the year, we'll have events, community gatherings, and "competitions." Every now and then we'll throw a great party.
We're constantly working on the store to make it "ours" — the building was originally a car wash. We plan for some outdoor showers, a yurt, a nice area for folks to clean up after an expedition. We're dreaming big.
We hope you'll stop by and check it out — maybe we'll help you find your way onto the water.
